Few places are as meaningful as the one where your love story begins. When Spencer reached out about proposing to Samantha, I knew it was going to be a special one. They first met at Texas Christian University, so the campus—and especially the iconic TCU football stadium—was the perfect place for him to pop the question.

Under the pretense of an alumni event, Spencer brought her back to campus, then took a surprise detour to the football field. I hid in the dugout with their sweet moms, cameras ready. When he got down on one knee, joy lit up her face — and the moment she turned and saw us hiding in the dugout to capture the moment, we all burst into laughter.

After the “yes!” we lingered for a quick mini engagement session right there on the field, something I include with all Dallas proposal sessions, so couples have beautiful images to share the news. The warm glow of the sunset paired with their boundless laughter made these some of my favorite photos to this day.
